LoRa-120C48A Lighiting Control System
LoRa (Long Range) is a wireless technology that enables long-range communication between low-power devices. It’s used in many applications, including smart agriculture, industrial IoT, and smart cities.
Recommendation for the 4 Types
| RS485 | Recommended for BIG or NEW stadium, TV broadcasting standard lighting, street lighting, military and government departments projects. The most stable and secure solution. | |
| PLC | Recommended for refresh project, such as OLD lighting system updating, street lighting, port, plant, industrial area. | |
| LoRa | Recommended same as PLC, LoRa cost little bit more than PLC while LoRa is more stable. | |
| CAT 1 | Recommended for area that 4G are well developed. | |
LoRa (Long Range) is a wireless technology that enables long-range communication between low-power devices. It’s used in many applications, including smart agriculture, industrial IoT, and smart cities.
How does LoRa work?
- LoRa uses spread spectrum modulation to create long-range communication links.
- It’s a non-cellular LPWA (low power wide area) network that uses encoded packets to distribute information across different frequency channels and data rates.
- LoRa WAN is the communication protocol that links the LoRa signal to applications.
LoRa applications
- Smart agriculture: Soil sensors monitor moisture and pH
- Industrial IoT: Sensors monitor equipment health and performance
- Smart cities: Sensors monitor traffic, air quality, and other environmental factors
- Healthcare: Sensors monitor patients’ health and medication usage
- Transportation: Sensors track vehicles, luggage, and personnel
LoRa history
- LoRa was developed by Cycleo, a company in Grenoble, France.
- Semtech acquired Cycleo in 2012.
- The LoRa Alliance is a non-profit organization that manages the development of the LoRa WAN protocol.
Lighting Control System Description
The system can not only control the lighting fixtures (switch, dimming, color adjustment, etc.) and collect status and faults, but also monitor the surrounding equipment and lines, such as analyzing the health of the lines, analyzing the electricity consumption of the lighting fixtures, collecting the status of the lighting fixtures, collecting natural light and cave illumination and brightness, collecting color temperature and RGBW parameters, etc.
This system has multiple control schemes, and the control methods can be combined arbitrarily (remote manual, local manual, intelligent node control, time period control, light control, mobile control, color temperature control, emergency, etc.). The control range can be combined arbitrarily (the entire tunnel, various lighting sections, any designated lamps and combinations).
